It's Bloggy Giveaway Time!

Bloggy Giveaways Quarterly Carnival Button

Welcome to Supermom's Homeschool Blog! I'm a homeschooling mom of six children (ages 5-16) and just started this blog recently because I wanted a specific place to share my homeschooling ideas with other moms. So, I don't have any cool or fancy blog design yet, but I do have a lot of good stuff here and lots more will be coming up in the next few months. So, come back and visit me, ok? :)

This week I'm giving away a collection of things homeschool moms like! One winner will get a package containing:
The Old Schoolhouse magazine Fall 2008
The Old Schoolhouse magazine Summer 2008
Sonlight catalog 2008
The Family Mercantile Catalog (this is really neat and has lots of homeschool businesses represented in it)

In order to enter this giveaway, you need to leave me a comment telling me one thing you wish you had help for, as a homeschooling mom.

Make sure that your comment includes your email address or a link to your blog so I can notify you if you win! I'll be picking a winner probably on Nov. 2. USA addresses only, please. Thanks!

Great giveaway. This is our first year with our 3rd grade daughter. STill learning alot this would help! We are loving homeschooling!

We are in our first year of homeschooling my 9 year old (4th grade) son. I also have a 2 year old son to add to the mix!

I wish I had more help with house stuff - cleaning, organizing, etc. Homeschooling really fell into place for us, but the other stuff is falling by the wayside!

I wish I had a personal CHEF so I would never have to worry about getting dinner on the table! Most days I'm so wasted after teaching that eating is the last thing I want to think about!

Thanks for the chance to win!

I'm just starting to homeschool my daughter (kindergarten) and I wish I had more help choosing curriculum. That has been my biggest challenge so far!

As a homeschooling mom, I wish for a "hand maiden", a glimpse into the future to make sure I haven't forgotten anything truly important to teach to my children, a "free" LONG vacation, and of course, true wisdom from the Lord. :)

I wish I had help with the cooking sometimes. We are on our 3rd year of homeschool. I have 3 that are school aged and a 1 year old.

Oh, there are lots of times I wish I had an extra pair of hands during the messy art projects with my 6 yo and my 2 yo! Sometimes I just can't do it and have to make my 6 yo wait until the 2 yo is napping.

Thanks for the contest! chappyandalexa [at] earthlink [dot] net

As a homeschooling mother of seven children and one who was also homeschooled herself I find the hardest thing for me is staying on task with the curriculum I've got instead of running out to buy the latest-greatest-next-cool-thing.

As a homeschool mom to two older kids, one of the things I wish I had help for was all of the correcting.

I wish for more experience! I have loved homeshooling for the past few months and we are getting into a rhythm but I wish I just had more experience so we didn't have to have all the bumps... Oh, well that's life right? Thanks for the contest!

I would love to get help with cooking/cleaning/grocery shopping/errand running, so I can focus on school more. One can dream...

It would be nice to have a meal planner and cook in our house (other than me), since that's something I seem to struggle with on a weekly basis.

Sandra said...

I wish I had help with meals...not only the planning but the preparation. It is one of my least favorite jobs and something that I struggle with daily. Once I get started it isn't too bad...but getting going is tough.

This is my first year homeschooling and I think the hardest part has been choosing between all the curriculum that is out there. Could use help with more review resources.

I think that I would most need help with how to keep up with the house while homeschooling - it's been the area I struggle with the most.

Thanks for the wonderful giveaway!

I wish I had a wife! No, seriously, being in the house all the time really takes a toll on things. I would love to have someone to follow around behind us and just pickup our messes.

One thing I wish I had help for? Easy - Science experiments - sure wish my husband would get into doing these activities and leave the reading and math to me!

I wish I had more help with planning everything out. I get bogged down sometimes on lesson plans and stuff. Would be nice to have an assistant to help with documenting everything, too. :)

Great giveaway - I also homeschool six ages 18 down to 2. :)

My son is still a toddler, but I'm always wondering what I can be teaching him at this young age.

I need help organizing my time with our lessons. If we have an appointment, it throws the entire schedule off. Then we end up doing double the lessons the next day.

This is our first year, but the planning/curriculum choices are killing me! I'd love to win--what a treat! Thanks!

I wish I had someone to help with just doing hands on science experiments. With 4 boys they just love hands on stuff and I am just not that good at it!

Elaine said...

I would love help just organizing all of the curriculum! I like to try to look through everything to find the best fit for each of my kids...but there is just so much! Maybe there is or could be a web site to help sort through it all!

Heather said...

I'd love more help organizing ideas for my littles. I'm hoping it gets easier as they get older...I don't have to do so much to do something with them. Thanks for the give a way. I LOVE the Old Schoolhouse Magazine!

I am not a homeschooler, but if I win I would give this to my friend Christina (www.kwisteena1021.blogspot.com) who does homeschool. Her daughter Kallie has Down syndrome and she is doing a fabulous job with her, but I know it's trying at times! She would love these goodies!

My youngest daughter seems to be really excelerated, I am considering homeschool so we can teach her things at a level that she won't be easily bored but I have NO CLUE WHERE TO START! How do you know that what you are doing will be recognized by the state? How do you know what products are good? I am just confused, so I guess I need help with start up!

As a Homeschool mom of 1 (7yodd), I really wish Daddy input in school. He is our "Principal", but I think she would love for him to teach her a subject!

I plan to homeschool starting next year and would probably be able to use some help figuring out how to keep my active toddler busy!
Thanks!

I wish I had help with being organized and orderly with all the school stuff. I've been at this for going on 4 years and I still can't seem to get it together!

I am looking to start next year. I need all the help I can get. I'm not sure where to start.

Brianne said...

I'm the mother of a toddler with a baby on the way - so I'm not technically homeschooling yet, but I'm finding out that every day is a teaching opportunity! I'm terrified that I won't be a good "teacher," so any kind of help would be awesome. My mother-in-law homeschooled my sister-in-law and so my husband and I really believe this is what we should do for our kids.
